Chemotherapy

Some patients may opt to have chemotherapy to aggressively attack the mesothelioma cancer growing in their bodies. Most patients however do not respond to chemotherapy favorably.

Radiation may be used for mesothelioma treatment but is generally known to be ineffective, but commonly used for controlling pain and other side effects.

Surgery is common, even in advanced cases, to offer relief, for exploration, and in some cases removal of a tumor. Exploratory surgery is useful for diagnosis.
